NoteWorthy News

When Cold becomes Warm
We’ve all heard of the wind chill factor.  It’s how wind makes cold air feel even colder. Inside the Arctic Circle, ‘Lights over Lapand’ tour guide Oliver Wright has discovered a new meteorological phenomenon: auroras make cold air feel … not so bad. “Last night,” he explains, “the air temperature in Abisko, Sweden, was -35 C when these auroras appeared.”

“As the auroras intensified and developed into multiple coronas, people were less bothered by the cold,” Wright observed.

“Coronas” are auroras that materialize directly overhead, creating a rippling spray of light centered on the zenith. They tend to occur during periods of strong magnetic unrest, and they are widely considered to be the most beautiful manifestation of Northern Lights.

More coronas are possible tonight as a quickening stream of solar wind buffets Earth’s magnetic field. Observers around the Arctic Circle may find that they don’t feel nearly as cold as they actually are.

aNNa’S NoTe:  This is very interesting to me, because I have wondered for a long time about Heaven vs. Hell.  When we’re told about Hell, we’re told about a place so hot, the pain is unimaginable, and the thirst is unquenchable.  If Heaven is the opposite of Hell, then wouldn’t it be cold?  But cold is unpleasant, too.  I know that when I’ve had intense prayer sessions, I’ve had ‘chills’, and I’ve always noted that they feel like something is happening, but that I wasn’t sure I liked the idea of cold.  This… is interesting.  Light from directly above doesn’t feel cold?  It’s definitely noteworthy, if it’s being considered a newly discovered phenomena.

Prophecy on the Horizon?
Almost 100 years ago, a world-famous Polish rabbi named Rabbi Israel Meir Kagan made a prediction that could result in the War of God and Magog, and the revelation of Moshiach (Messiah), in 2017. Rabbi Kagan, popularly known as the Chafetz Chaim, after the title of his most famous book, died in 1933.

Before his death, he revealed that the War of Gog and Magog would be fought in three stages. The first stage was WWI, which began in 1914. The Chafetz Chaim predicted that the second stage of Gog and Magog would occur 25 years after WWI, and that it would be much more brutal than the first stage. True to his prediction, WWII began in 1939, exactly 25 years later.

There is a final part of the Chafetz Chaim’s prediction. He said that the third part of the war of Gog and Magog would occur 72 years after the second stage, although it was not clear whether he meant 72 years after the beginning of WWII or 72 years after the end.  Since WWII started in 1939, 72 years later was 2012. Obviously, the final war of Gog and Magog did not occur in 2012. However, WWII ended in 1945. That date, plus 72 years, brings us to 2017.

aNNa’S NoTe:  I’ve read a lot of Jewish ‘prophecy’ that is total BS.  There’s one guy… I don’t even know why I read him everyday, he said Niburu would be here during the fall feasts – any one of those days.  He’s a liar and a lunatic, and now it’s ‘within months’, again.  GAH, get hard facts or shut up.  But until proven wrong, I always keep an eye on prophets.  And this one was right twice over… so it’ll be interesting to see if three’s a charm.  After all, 2017 is 5’777′ until the fall.  And it’s especially worth watching, especially in light of this:

WWIII before Trump Takes Office?
With 15 days to go until Donald Trump becomes the 45th President of the United States, Barack Obama seems bent on starting a war with Russia. In response to Putin moving nuclear armed missiles into Kalingrad, Obama has moved US special forces up to the border between Lithuania and Russia.

Lithuanian Defence Ministry spokeswoman Asta Galdikaite confirmed America has offered additional military support following Russia’s annexation of Crimea.

This move along side the expelling of 25 Russian diplomats will increase the tension between the two powers.  With Trump coming into power very shortly, it is hard to find a reason why Obama has chosen now to increase the special forces presence in these countries.

aNNa’S NoTe:  I’ve been saying for a long time, now, that I don’t believe Obama is going to give up his power.  That something would happen in the last days that would make it so that there wouldn’t be a regime change in America.  So what is this, right?

What Obama’s Troops in Lithuania Mean
Are we headed for World War III? The emergence of the Russian-Iranian-Syrian alliance is causing many to ask if we’re overdue for a major war between the West and the next axis of fascism. Russian hostility against the United States is now reaching Cold War levels as Vladimir Putin as his neo-Soviet imperial army push further into the Middle East in defense of its client states.

For nearly eight years, the Obama administration has been slow to respond to elevated Russian aggression, opting for diplomacy as an answer to all global ills.  But Putin’s latest provocation has been impossible to ignore.

In response to reports that Russia is deploying nuke-ready missiles along its western border with NATO allies Poland and Lithuania and US ally Belarus, President Obama has sent US special forces to Lithuania.  US special forces will assist the Lithuanians and other NATO allies to bolster their defenses against Russia and fight if necessary, fulfilling America’s obligation to the NATO alliance.

“The United States was the first to offer additional safety assurance measures to the Baltic countries following the deterioration of the security situation in the region after the annexation of the Crimea,” stated Lithuanian Defense Ministry spokeswoman. “US Special Operations Forces presence in Lithuania is one of the deterrents” against Russian imperial expansion.

This is a game-changer. Russia has upped the ante by flexing its nuclear muscle. The United States is responding slowly but decisively.  One misstep by either party, one bullet fired, or missile deployed along Russia’s border with NATO partners may very well launch the world into yet another war. This time the potential warring parties have nukes.

Interesting Parsha Alignments
A friend pointed out that Donald Trump will be sworn into office on Friday, January 20th 2017, Parshat Shemos. Shemos Perek 1, posuk 8, begins with the words ‘Vayokom Melech Chodosh Al Mitzrayim’–A new king arose over Egypt.

We are at the eve of our new president’s inauguration, a time of new beginnings. How appropriate it is to begin a new book of the Torah, the book of Exodus, with its story of freedom and emancipation from the shackles of the past.  As rabbis are wont to do, I find the ancient biblical words shouting the headlines: “A new king arose over Egypt” (Exodus 1:8). And yet, the end of that verse states that the new king “did not know Joseph.”…

aNNa’S NoTe:  For those who aren’t Jewish (or follow Jewish practices), the scriptures are read in a specific order every year by the Jews, starting on the day after the Fall Feasts are finished.  Each reading is called a ‘parsha’ (or portion).  It’s like those ‘Bible in a Year’ lists you can find on-line, only just for Torah (first five books).  Apparently the reading for the day of Trump’s inauguration begins ‘a new king rose over Egypt’.

I have thoughts on this.  First, because I don’t believe that Obama is going to relinquish the presidency, I can’t say that I agree with the Jews, that Trump is this ‘new king over Egypt’.  Second, I have trouble with this, because all of the Jewish sites I read are THRILLED with Trump – instead of saying ambiguously that he ‘stands by’ Israel, the way Obama did, Trump says he ‘supports 100%’ Israel and it’s right to its lands. So to me, that means that Trump ‘knows Joseph’ (is a friend of the Jews).  Third, it says ‘a new KING’, not a new leader.  So I can’t help but wonder… maybe if this ironic alignment of parsha with presidential turning point might mean something altogether different.

The Seventy Nations Speak Out
As we know, Gog u Magog represents the ”70 nations” of the world against Israel.
On January 15th:
70 Nations Will Gather In Paris To Discuss The Creation Of A Palestinian State.
And then there’s this:
UN Follows Up Settlement Vote with ”Blacklist” Plan for Israeli Companies.

Just as the UN vote occurred on Chanukah, to hint that we are going to be victorious and experience miracles, so too the venue for the ”Gathering Against Israel” contains hints to the Moshiach.
aNNa’S NoTe:  I didn’t follow the John Kerry/Obama/UN thing that was so huge in the Jewish blogs, the past two weeks.  I’m sure you know more about it than I do.  All I really know is that Kerry got up in front of the UN and bashed the heck out of Israel, or did something serious anti-Israel, and that the Jews have been COUNTING DOWN to Donald Trump, as a result of the last-minute Palestinian push the US is leading the UN in making.  So apparently not only is Obama positioning us in a very war-like stance against Russia, he’s also – in the last five days of office, trying to push thru the Palestinian State that would fracture Israel.  He’d messes around, trying to bring it about for the past eight years thru talks, but now push has come to shove, and he’s out of time.  Things are really coming down to the wire.  So five days before Trump… this?!  The timing is just… crazy, you know this?  I’m watching and thinking about how incredible it all is, especially in this eleventh hour of Obama’s presidency…!
